Entourage was one of HBO’s TV show mainstays throughout the 2000s, running for eight seasons total and picking up a number of awards and related accolades along the way. The series, which was (loosely?) inspired by executive producer Mark Wahlberg’s early days as an actor, will live on in this year’s movie release
The Entourage film picks up not long after the show’s finale. Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven), it seems, accepted the offer that he received at the very end of the original television series’ finale: to become the new CEO and chairman of Time Warner. Now, Ari is eager and willing to produce his first big, box office-crushing tentpole – Hyde, the movie-within-the-movie that was teased in the first Entourage trailer (and even received its own poster).
