The main characters on HBO’s hit series Sex and the City lived on for two additional movies after that show ended, and now the Entourage cast has likewise reunited for a big screen adventure. Doug Ellin’s comedy/drama program – loosely based on executive producer Mark Wahlberg’s real-life experiences when he made the jump to Hollywood film acting – ended in 2011 after eight seasons and numerous award nods and wins (that includes a Golden Globe for Jeremy Piven as the ever-stressed agent, Ari Gold).
Entourage season 8 did tie up a number of the show’s character plot threads in such a manner that would allow for continuation in a movie – one which began production earlier this year, as it were.
